I created this music video with my wonderful Clown & Mime Ensemble for Virtual Dance Workshop this Spring. Quarantine and isolation provided a fun challenge for us working in an art-form that craves human connection and physical interaction. That being said, clowns use mime to create fantasy for the very real world they live in, so I devised this project to allow each performer to take a prompt with a clear beginning and endpoint and improvise within it, thinking about how their characters, though far apart, might still be playing together.
